Equine Layup At Bayfield Farm

KC consults with the horse's vet, trainer, and owner. A vet prescribed program is initiated with regular medical check ups and communications between all involved.

Layup Resources

  • Small medical paddocks located just behind the barn so horses are closely monitored. When indicated, larger grass paddocks are also available for turnout.
  • Bayfield's landscape of gentle slopes, long lanes, and large open flat areas provide the ideal environment for horses requiring hand walking, lunging, or flat work.
  • Bayfield's layup program insures the best opportunity for the horses to return to their owners fit and ready to resume their previous routine.
